Some torque converters use multiple stators and/or many turbines to supply a broader variety of torque multiplication. This kind of multiple-component converters are more frequent in industrial environments than in automotive transmissions, but automotive programs for example Buick's Triple Turbine Dynaflow and Chevrolet's Turboglide also existed.
